Privacy Policy

Who we are
ROIkeep is a product of Silverthread Labs, which operates this website at roikeep.com and is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Silverthread Labs publishes its wider work at silverthreadlabs.com.
You can reach us about anything in this policy, including any request about your own data, at silverthreadlabs@gmail.com.
This policy covers this website only. It does not describe how the ROIkeep software handles data belonging to a customer's own organisation once that organisation is a customer. That is governed separately by the agreement under which the software is provided.
What we collect
What you give us
When you use the contact form we collect your name, your work email address, and the message you write. Those three fields are all the form asks for.
When you book a call through the scheduling calendar embedded on our contact page, that booking is handled by Cal.com. The details you enter there, including your name and email address, are collected by Cal.com under its own privacy policy and passed to us so we can attend the call.
We do not collect payment information anywhere on this website.
What is collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard server information as part of running the site, which may include your IP address, browser type, operating system, the page that referred you, and the pages you visit.
Where website analytics are enabled, we also collect aggregate usage data about which pages are visited and how visitors move through the site. We do not use it to identify you and we do not build behavioural profiles for advertising.
What we never do
We do not buy personal data from data brokers. We do not compile profiles from third-party sources. We do not sell or share your personal data, and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
Data protection law requires us to have a lawful reason for each use of your personal data. Ours are set out below.
| What we do | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Reply to your message | Because you asked us a question and expect an answer | Legitimate interests, being our interest and yours in responding to an enquiry you initiated. Where your message is about becoming a customer, steps taken at your request before entering a contract |
| Arrange and hold a booked call | Because you booked it | Steps taken at your request before entering a contract, or legitimate interests where no contract is contemplated |
| Keep the website running and secure | To serve pages, diagnose faults, and prevent abuse | Legitimate interests, being our interest in operating a functioning and secure website |
| Understand aggregate site usage | To learn which pages are useful and find broken ones | Consent, where consent is required in your jurisdiction. Otherwise legitimate interests |
| Keep records we are required to keep | Because the law sometimes requires it | Legal obligation |
Submitting the contact form does not subscribe you to anything, and we do not send marketing email to people who have contacted us. If we ever start a mailing list we will ask for your consent separately and put an unsubscribe link in every message.
Who else processes it
This website runs on a small number of third-party services. Each one processes some data on our behalf or under its own terms, and each has its own privacy policy.
| Service | What it does | What it processes |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosts this website | Server logs, which may include your IP address |
| EmailJS | Delivers contact form submissions to us | Your name, work email address, and message |
| Cal.com | Provides the booking calendar on our contact page | The booking details you enter, under Cal.com's own policy |
| Google Analytics | Aggregate website usage, where enabled | Usage data. Google's policy is at policies.google.com/privacy |
Where your data goes
Silverthread Labs operates from Pakistan, and the services listed above are operated by companies based in the United States and the European Union. This means your personal data may be transferred to, stored in, or accessed from countries outside the one you live in, including countries that have not been formally assessed as providing an equivalent standard of data protection.
Where we rely on a third-party service, we rely on the transfer safeguards that service puts in place under its own terms.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser.
This site may set cookies needed for it to work. Where analytics are enabled, analytics cookies may also be set; those report aggregate behaviour and do not identify you. We do not set advertising cookies.
Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies in their settings, and blocking analytics cookies will not stop this site working. Google publishes an opt-out add-on for Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for.
Messages you send us are kept while the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterwards as a business record. Booking records are kept for as long as Cal.com retains them under its own policy and for as long as we need the record of the meeting. Server logs and analytics data are kept for the retention period configured in those services and are then deleted automatically.
If you ask us to delete your personal data, we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of these rights over the personal data we hold about you.
| Right | What it means |
|---|---|
| Access | Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you |
| Correction | Ask us to correct anything that is wrong |
| Deletion | Ask us to delete your personal data, except where we must keep it |
| Restriction | Ask us to limit how we use it while a question about it is resolved |
| Objection | Object to a use we base on legitimate interests |
| Portability | Ask for your data in a machine-readable format, where technically feasible |
| Withdraw consent | Where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time. This does not affect anything done before you withdrew it |
To exercise any of these, email silverthreadlabs@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first. Exercising a right is free and we will not treat you differently for doing so.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you these rights and also the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection supervisory authority. You do not have to contact us first, though we would rather have the chance to put something right.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA as amended gives you rights of access, deletion, correction, and portability, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS. Access to messages you send us is limited to the people who need it in order to reply.
No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This website is aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in what we do or in the law. When we make a material change we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use data you have already given us, we will take reasonable steps to tell you.
